We’re MediLodge Strong!

Dear readers and future patients, I’m compelled to write a short synopsis of my stay here at Mediloge. I was living independently in my own apartment when I took very ill. I lost 45lbs and ended up at the U of M for surgery. For rehab, I chose MediLodge of Portage because my son and family lived close by. I’m not a gambling man but it turned out to be the best “Roll of the dice” I could have made. Everyone I came into contact with was so concerned about my health. In 2 months, I was walking again. In 3 months, I had regained the 45lbs. For me, it was a superior 5-star experience. So many professionals to say thank you to with much love. My motto is “live for love, adventure, and knowledge”. They did their job; mine was to make them laugh and keep it light-hearted. We all succeeded. They all know who they are! They’ll never be forgotten, Thomas A. Monroe P.S. Ask them about the spoon toss game. I got pretty good at it.

Can’t thank therapy enough for everything they did for me! Quality of life is important to me, and therapy got me back to where I needed to be. Kudos to the Kitchen staff and all employees; especially to the nurses Jessica, Corey and Ethan, Kristine the unit manager and all the C.N.A’s! Staff is wonderful, and Medilodge of Okemos will always be my home away from home.

I chose MediLodge of Okemos because of its location so I could be close to family and friends while recovering. My therapy experience was excellent, thanks to the staff, who were all very encouraging! I’ve been pleased with this place.

The facility is lovely, its super clean, and the staff is friendly. Therapy was SUPER! There were many activities offered to keep me busy. I have been here before and got very good care every time!

I chose this center because I was here before and the staff has always treated me like I mean something to them! The nurses, aides, and therapy staff always smile at you, and they are gentle. I liked the activities and church services on Sundays.

I chose Medilodge of Okemos because I was told that it was one of the best! All members of the therapy department were outstanding!

My daughter researched several rehabilitation centers in the area, and she recommended MediLodge of Okemos because it had the most to offer.  My care was better than I could have ever expected, and I was very well fed! Several members of the nursing staff (Ken, Julie, Andrea, Liz, Kayli, and Casey) consistently went above and beyond. The staff in this facility is TOP NOTCH!

I chose MediLodge of Okemos for my rehabilitation because it is close to home and convenient for my husband to visit. The rooms are very nice and clean. All departments are great and everyone is so kind, helpful and hard working.

I was here because of a hip replacement surgery. All of your staff are helpful and very friendly. The Physical and Occupations team are the best I’ve ever seen – they are terrific. Thanks to the therapy team for all of your help. My rehabilitation time was minimal. It makes me feel good.
